LCMS-U at Butler University, IUPUI, and others.
St Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church was a Christ on Campus chapter of Higher Things youth organization. It was also host congregation for the Butler chapter of Lutheran Student Fellowship. When LCMS-U was launched in 2013 by The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, the existing student group on campus was renamed LCMS-U at Butler University and attained chapter status in August of 2013, with St Peter's serving as the contact/advisory congregation and her pastor, Rev Seth Mierow, as the campus pastor.
Campus ministry to the students of IUPUI officially began in the Fall of 2014, with numerous students to this heavily commuter university.
Students from around Indianapolis, including from University of Indianapolis, Marian University, and Ivy Tech, regularly attend the campus Bible studies, fellowship events, and, most importantly, Divine Service at St Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
LCMS-U meets on campus for weekly Bible study. Most students attend Divine Service at St Peter's. Early every Fall semester St Peter's hosts a potluck after service for the students and congregation. LCMS-U at Butler partners with other chapters (Ball State, IU, and Purdue) for activities and fellowship. For more information email Pastor Mierow.
